Up until this strip Dot was a pretty flat character. Her scrappiness surprised even me. I had no idea she was so...earthy.

Dot is a conundrum in many ways. She can be a ass-kicking hero but most times she wants to avoid confrontation. She cares very much what others think of her but at the same time she doesn't. It's these contradictions in her character that make it possible to be friends with Alice.
